‼️ Control of the Houthis' Bab al-Mandab is more dangerous than the Strait of Hormuz
♦️ In an interview with Channel 12, an occupying Israeli official stated that the Houthis' control of Bab al-Mandab is much more dangerous than the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and the main reason for this is the geographical location.
♦️ The eastern shipping lane adjacent to Perim or Mayun Island is only three kilometers wide. As a result, ships passing through this route will navigate directly within the line of sight of Houthi fighters.
♦️ The official said that in the Strait of Hormuz, creating threats to shipping requires Iran's radar, surveillance systems, and anti-ship missiles.
But in Bab al-Mandab, a fighter stationed on Perim Island can hit any ship simply by sight using an ordinary anti-tank missile.
♦️ No modern technology is required for target acquisition. This geographical advantage has endowed the Houthi forces with unimaginable capability, the official stated.
